The Hyundai Sonata underwent a complete redesign in 2020, and customers continue to be wowed by the new look and functionality they’ve seen this year.

So for 2021, Hyundai shifts focus to crucial – and highly impactful – performance enhancements to deliver an even stronger product to the market. It starts where the rubber meets the road. Literally.

The 2021 Sonata for sale features a 19-inch alloy wheel and tire package. These 245/40 R19 Pirelli P Zero™ tires enhance responsiveness in handling, improve durability and boost all-season traction.

“The 19-inch wheels and tires make a beautiful-looking car look and perform even better,” said Scott Margason, director of product planning, Hyundai Motor North America.

These all-season tires feature inner-block winter siping technology – a process of cutting thin slits across the surface of the tire to improve traction in snow, rain or icy conditions. This includes circumferential grooves that improve safety when drivers find themselves hydroplaning through standing water.

Not only that, but the variable size tread design can even minimize noise inside the vehicle.

Speaking of inside the vehicle, drivers will enjoy a six-way adjustable power passenger seat. It’s the comfort of a first-rate design, with more ways to customize to your liking than just about any other seat on the market.

And when you exit your vehicle, Sonata has your back. Its new Safe Exit Warning is now standard on the SEL, SEL Plus and Limited trims of the Sonata. Using existing blind-spot radar sensors, Safe Exit Warning will warn drivers and passengers if a car is approaching in an adjacent lane as they’re getting ready to exit the vehicle. It’s a crucial safety feature for those who need to parallel park on busy streets. If oncoming traffic poses a threat to the driver or passengers, the system will produce an audible warning as well as a pop-up message in the cluster to “Watch for Traffic.”

In addition, the 2021 Sonata models include advanced comfort and convenience features such as panoramic sunroofs, electric parking brakes, a hands-free smart trunk, a Qi high-speed wireless smartphone charging pad with a cooling fan, standard Apple CarPlay® and much more. Drivers who love the 2020 Sonata redesign will be that much more enthusiastic about the tires, the seats, the safety features and so many other strengths that prove what Hyundai believes: Everyone deserves better.
